Ohio ACE - Educational Savings Account
Overview
You can use your Ohio ACE funds to purchase our literature-based homeschool curriculum with the The Ohio Afterschool Child Enrichment (ACE) Educational Savings Account program. Ohio ACE provides families with funds to support a variety of educational activities -- including homeschool curriculum.
Moving Beyond the Page is an approved vendor for the Ohio ACE Educational Savings Account. This means you can purchase your child's homsechool curriculum with your Ohio ACE ESA funds.
How to Use Ohio ACE Funds
To use Ohio ACE funds for purchasing educational materials or services, follow these steps:
- Purchase: Buy the desired curriculum or service using your own credit card.
- Submit Receipt: Submit the receipt to Ohio ACE for reimbursement through the Ohio ACE app. Ensure all required information is included on the receipt to avoid claim rejection.
- Reimbursement: Claims are processed in the order received, and it may take up to 8 weeks for reimbursement. You will be notified via email once your claim is processed.
Eligibility
The Ohio ACE program is available to children aged 6 to 18 who have not graduated from high school. To qualify, families must meet at least one of the following criteria:
- Participation in income-based government assistance programs such as Medicaid, SNAP, or Ohio Works First.
- Reside in areas recognized for high levels of chronic absenteeism or districts with schools eligible for EdChoice.
- Have an adjusted gross income at or below 400% of the federal poverty level.
Funding Details
Each qualifying family receives a $1,000 credit per child. These funds are intended to accelerate learning for children impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. However, the funds cannot be used for purchasing electronic devices.
Important Deadlines
The deadline for families to spend their ACE funds has been extended to September 1, 2025. However, note that the program is fully subscribed, and no new accounts will be awarded. Only existing accounts are eligible for fund usage.
