Winnie has lived a life or privilege and security. Everything changes when she meets the Tucks. The Tucks never grow old, even as the world around them moves on. Winnie is faced with the challenge of risking everything to save the family she has come to love. In this unit children explore myths and legends of "magical waters," recognize the author’s use of effective personification, and are asked to design a marketing campaign. Children practice identifying and labeling parts of speech and write a cause and effect paragraph.
