This unit on measurement focuses on the use of the US Customary System and the metric system for measuring length. Your child will practice measuring length using a variety of measurement units and will explore which units are best to use in given situations. He will also learn to select appropriate measurement tools and will collect and record measurement data. For his unit project, he will create an illustrated journal of the measurement of objects in the world around him.
