This introduction to geometry explores basic 2-dimensional and 3-dimensional shapes and where they can be found in the real world. Your child will learn the attributes of a variety of shapes and will use these shapes to create composite shapes. In addition, she'll practice dividing rectangles and circles into halves and quarters. For her unit project, your child will create a "shape museum" to share what she's come to understand about basic geometry.
