The Water Cycle
Age 7-9: Concept 3 - Cycles: Unit 2

In this unit, your child will learn about the unique properties of water. She will follow a drop of water as it falls from the sky, flows across the land, provides life for animals and plants, and makes its way back to the clouds. For her final project, she will teach your family, friends, and neighbors about the water cycle.

This unit can be used independently but is designed to be used in conjunction with the literature unit Charlotte's Web.

Prerequisites

  • Able to read and comprehend chapter books on a 3rd or early 4th grade reading level
  • Can answer comprehension questions about a chapter in a journal
  • Able to write three or four sentences on a topic
  • Usually used by children in third grade
