Lesson 2: Vowel Teams Review

Wrapping Up

Conclusion

Give your child the plates, activity pages, and word sorts that she completed during this lesson, and ask her to read words aloud as you point to them. Select words that she struggled with during the lesson so that she has a chance to practice reading them.

Life Application

Write long vowel words that include vowel blends on sticky notes and hide them around the house for your child to find. When she finds a word, she should bring it to you and read it aloud. Encourage her to try to use the words in sentences. Possible words: frame, grew, bright, beach, rain, spray, float, group.
