Lesson 3: The Stories

Getting Started

You have learned the stories of the major Greek gods and goddesses. Each character has his or her own unique role and story. One way archaeologists and historians learn about people of the past is by analyzing the writings and the artistic contributions of a culture.

  • white art paper* (Activity 2 - Option 1)

Introducing the Lesson

Ask your child to consider which god or goddess he found most interesting or which one he respected most. Encourage him to explain his decisions with examples.

For today's lesson he will either write a poem about his favorite god or goddess or create a pot that reflects the story of the god or goddess.
