I just pulled my daughter out of public school and have ordered a curriculum only package for ages 6-8. I saw after the order was placed to allow 1-3 weeks to receive the materials? Does it really take this long to receive the package? Does anyone have suggestions on what to do in the meantime to get started with the materials?
Krystal, also keep in mind that one of the most consistent pieces of homeschooling advice is to take plenty of time to "de-school" a child that just came out of public school. Let her relax, play board games, go to the park, the zoo, a museum, out for pizza when the pizza places are empty. Connect with other homeschoolers for some play time. Find out who offers daytime swimming lessons, etc. I can't remember the recommendation..but I *THINK* they do say take at least a week off for every year they were in school. It honestly might be a month...but this might vary. :)
