Science Manipulative Package

Hello, again!
So I have decided to purchase only the first unit for us to try. If it goes well, I will then order the full year. :)
I'm planning to purchase the first unit for each subject and then also the additional manipulative packages for my second child. But the science package is a little steep for me right now.
I'm wondering if that's an absolute necessity or might my girls use the same science manipulatives?

The girls will be able to share the Weather and Climate Science kit. You will just need a second unit for Language Arts and Science.
