Homeschool Social Studies Curriculum

March 2011 by Kim A. Howe, M.S.
What Is Social Studies?

The Moving Beyond the Page social studies curriculum is designed to engage children in a meaningful and exciting exploration of culture, geography, history, economics, government, and citizenship. The curriculum is brought to life through amazing literature selections that enable children to experience the people and places along their journey. This presentation will give you an introduction to the subject of social studies and an overview of how Moving Beyond the Page approaches this multi-faceted subject from the early elementary years through middle school.
